Pilsen and beer - these two expressions are inseparable. Pilsen provided the world with the famous golden
lager - Pilsner, after which beers of the same type around the world are named. The city has more than 700
years of history, which is reflected in magnificent buildings situated in the historical center but it is also
a modern gleaming metropolis that has a lot of attractions to offer to its visitors. Not coincidentally this city
won the title European Capital of Culture for the year 2015.
Pilsner Urquell Brewery – The Birthplace of the World’s First Lager
Get to know the story of the legend born in 1842. You will view the original locations where the famous
Pilsner Urquell beer was born and whose story continues even today. You will learn about the brewing
process, taste the excellent lager in the historic cellars, where Pilsner Urquell beer is still produced today
using the same traditional method as during the era of the first brewer.

GROUP SIZE
The trips and programs are calculated for a minimum group of 10 people. In the event that
the minimum capacity of the program/trip is not met, we will offer participants the opportunity to
attend another program or refund their payment.

Price Includes: Half day program (6 hours) in Pilsen including a guided tour of the historical city center, visit to the Gothic-style St. Bartholomew’s Cathedral, the Great Synagogue which is the second largest structure of its type in Europe and Pilsner Urquell brewery tour with tasting, a 2-course lunch and public transport ticket.
